Dear Sion Families,

It is hard to believe that the end of the school year arrived and that our summer camps will start next Monday. As we reflect on the past 10 months, I would like to sincerely extend thanks to you on behalf of the entire faculty and staff for your continued support, invaluable feedback, and partnership this past school year to ensure your child's success. It is truly an honor to have your children as part of the Sion community. I have enjoyed meeting so many of you and look forward to continue partnering with you this upcoming school year as your children become "knowledge seekers, their brother's keepers, and difference makers".

I would also like to use this opportunity to share that our office summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Our EDP Desk hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Also, we will be sending our summer information again via e-packet in an email between the second and third week of June.

Please know that we are committed to continuous school improvement and will continue working very hard to provide your students with the best possible whole child education in the 18-19 school year in a safe, warm, loving, and nurturing environment. Thank you again for partnering with us to ensure your student's success.

Many blessings to you and your families over the summer break and always.

Happy summer, Sion!

Very best wishes,
Paola V. Clark, Ed.D.
Principal

Montessori Spring Concert and Graduation
Our Early Childhood teachers worked very hard to prepare our Montessori students for their Spring concert, which took place on April 19 in the Grande Salle. Likewise, all 5-year old students who completed the Montessori program were recognized as they will begin their journey in Kindergarten next school year. Thank you to all families for attending and supporting this lovely event. We are so proud of the amazing growth and learning of our Early Childhood students and look forward to seeing them continue blossoming next school year!
Finance and the Stock Market Game
Big congratulations to all Middle School students in Finance and the Stock Market Game and Mr. Ray for winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 2018 Year-long Session of the Missouri Stock Market Game!

Special kudos to Mrs. Stafford, Mrs. Teasley, the Musical Team, and all students who participated in the Fiddler on the Roof Jr., the Spring Musical, and the Arts Showcase this last quarter. We are blessed to have such extraordinarily talented students!
Battle of the Books
The Battle of the Books took place on Thursday, May 3. Heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Annie Riggs and Mrs. Julie Walker-Browne for their hard work organizing this event, and to all parents and faculty members who supported this day as well. It was a wonderful year for all teams! Congratulations to the sixth grade winning team: Lily Dillon, Margot Keitges, Ava Levin, and Sophie Saxton.
Start preparing for next year's competition this summer - reading lists will be available in the summer epacket the second week of June - and share your magical reading moments with the hashtag #sionreads.
