Dear Sion Families, It is hard to believe that the end of the school year arrived and that our summer camps will start next Monday. As we reflect on the past 10 months, I would like to sincerely extend thanks to you on behalf of the entire faculty and staff for your continued support, invaluable feedback, and partnership this past school year to ensure your child's success. It is truly an honor to have your children as part of the Sion community. I have enjoyed meeting so many of you and look forward to continue partnering with you this upcoming school year as your children become "knowledge seekers, their brother's keepers, and difference makers". I would also like to use this opportunity to share that our office summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Our EDP Desk hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Also, we will be sending our summer information again via e-packet in an email between the second and third week of June. Please know that we are committed to continuous school improvement and will continue working very hard to provide your students with the best possible whole child education in the 18-19 school year in a safe, warm, loving, and nurturing environment. Thank you again for partnering with us to ensure your student's success. Many blessings to you and your families over the summer break and always. Happy summer, Sion! Very best wishes, Paola V. Dear Class of 2018,Many congratulations on all your amazing accomplishments throughout your time at Sion! Graduation night was a milestone in your educational journeys, and while it marked the end of a learning journey on this campus that began for some as far back as the 2007-2008 academic year, for others, the Sion experience was shorter. Please know that no matter how long you have been at Sion, it will always and forever be your home. Thank you for making my job as Principal a very special and memorable one. Your class had led our campus with much love, compassion, joy, authenticity, commitment to scholarship and service, extraordinary talent, politeness, and has shown unwavering friendship and camaraderie. The graduation ceremony is referred to as a "commencement ceremony" as it defines the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of graduates. I write these lines of utmost encouragement and support as you turn the last page of this chapter and begin a new chapter in your lifelong learning stories. Remember that you are all shining stars and that you can accomplish all your hopes, dreams, and anything that you set your mind to with hard work, dedication, and determination. High school will bring many new opportunities and challenges for self-discovery, growth, and successes. Don't be afraid to fail, to ask for help, to ask questions, to be safe risk-takers, and to believe in yourselves, because we all (your parents, family, Sion faculty and staff, and friends) believe in you. And, always be kind and compassionate as you remain rooted in Sion. Please know that we you will be dearly missed and that we wish you many blessings and the absolute best on all your future endeavors. Each one of you is absolutely amazing just the way you are! Vive Sion! Love, Dr. Clark Graduation took place on Wednesday, May 16. It begun with a celebratory mass service in the Chapel and Commencement followed at 7:00 pm in the gym. The last day of classes for 8th grade students was on Thursday, May 10, which ended in the traditional "victory lap" as they were celebrated by the entire Sion community.
